About Carina

I was born and raised in Raytown, MO and graduated from Raytown South High School in 1995. I attended college at Missouri Western in St. Joseph, MO while on an ROTC scholarship. I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Recreation Administration and a minor in Gerontology and Military Science. After graduating in 1999 and receiving my commission as a 2LT in the US Army, I was stationed in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD to train as an Ordnance Officer. My first duty assignment was in Mannheim Germany and I loved traveling all over Europe. It was a wonderful 4 years being there, but while I was there, 9/11 happened and things changed drastically. The once safe and beautiful place to be stationed was now not so safe. There were protests against the US military and life wasn’t as easy to navigate living abroad anymore. This is when my panic attacks and anxiety started, but I sucked it up like any good Soldier, took some pills and pushed hard to keep going. I used to call it the “grip it and rip it” method. No. It didn’t work well, but I pushed myself through life determined not to let anxiety “win”. Now in hindsight, it made my anxiety worse. That pushing myself so hard just made me more stressed and caused me extreme lower back pain at the age of 24 and painful muscle tension for years. I was truly blessed to have served 12 years in the Army and wouldn’t change it. The people I met are still some of my dearest friends today.

After leaving the Army, my husband Daniel and I had our 2 beautiful children Camden and Caelan. Pranic healing has not only helped get my anxiety under control, it’s also helps me be a better wife, mom, sister, daughter and friend. I am forever grateful to Master Choa Kok Sui for creating this beautiful healing modality and those who have taught me Pranic Healing along my journey. Master Co (masterco.org), Master Glenn (masterglenn.com), Master Marilag (mastermarilag.com), Kim Fantini (midwestpranichealing.com), Julie Preis (demunhealing.com), Chandan Parameswara (pranastudies.com) and to Dr. Ben Chambers who told me about it in the first place (axiscw.com).

2001-2020 is how long I searched for the “cure”. In my search, I tried countless medications (almost all had unpleasant side effects and some were quite addictive), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Panic Away program, Transcendental Meditation, Resonance Repatterning, Reiki, 15+ years of regular talk therapy with a few different therapists. I tried anything I could think of to help. Until I finally found Pranic Healing.

And now I know, all that’s happened in my past, happened for me, not to me. I am here now because of the journey I’ve been on and I now want to use my own story to help others on their journey to heal.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my healing journey.

Namaste.
